There is a very nice site - easy to roll thru - with a short illustrated history of another venerable 25 footer - ending with Alberg's CD25d. Jim Stull's "personalized" boat has some pictures you've got to see, two of his cockpit show some great ideas. www.sailorjon.net/history.htm

I really like the wood on the cockpit seats on Segue.

I'd be a little concerned about the non-skid properties of the wood.

He said he used Black Locust covered with 6 oz cloth for the cabin sole and teak for the cockpit seats. I wonder how effective covering wood with cloth and polyester resin would be for non-skid, and how durable.

Still, looks mighty shippy.

interesting, that cockpit sole....he did say the wood was added to stiffen the deck.....and on the finish coat of epoxy(?) one could add anything from pumice to granola for anti-skid. Might get a little warm in the summer sun. Don't see a scupper in the corner, either(?)
Sailorjon, on his page, has some thoughts and shots on his ob well.

That is not an Alberg CD25d , that is the the CD25, big difference twix the 2 and the Ariels .
The 25d has no room for an outboard well , he pushed the cockpit all the way to the stern .

If you follow down this thread about windows , you will find a early CD25d ;

Notice the unbroken cabintop line & 3 windows all the same size .

I personally like the CD 25 better than the 25d .
