H lives rather close to me and I'd like to get in touch with him.

Commanderpete's last post was in August of 2011. There was no notice nor goodbys, which leads one to think that something happened over which he had no control. The only information we have is his stated location, "Brightwaters, N.Y." and his Commander #200 Grace. He has not replied to any of our emails. Maybe if you locate his yacht, you might learn something. If you do learn anything, please post it here.

I've always admired his boat and remember when he first got it, geez, 20 years or so ago, as he was doing work on her I n a marina I used to belong to. I saw him this past year sailing to a fireworks show in July in The Bay - I approached him in my motor boat and asked if his boat was a commander - I recognized him...

I used to see him out on the Great South Bay. I have not seen him for years but I saw his boat GRACE on the hard last year, in the marina just south of the Fire Island Ferries in Bay Shore It is not there this year
