While working on cutting the deck with a dewalt sheetrock cutting tool
with a carbide bit. I went a little too low and made two 6 inch parallel cuts. They are 3 inches apart. What's the best way to repair this mess.

John

They are very thin cuts if that helps.

Recoring?
Stick some strong tape over each slice on the underside like grey duct tape and forget about it til later after all the fitting and slathering. I'll probably pull right off with a bit of scraping to do. Even blue tape will be ok. The goop you will be using to bed in the recore (assume its epoxy and cabosil, etc.) will repair the slices.

Holes from thru fastenings can be taped the same way. Tho you might get a bit fancy and make up buttons of cardboard and wax paper just oversized enuf to cover the openings and tape them in place with the steroid tape.

Wait until the job is prepped and then temporary tape all thru holes before setting the foam in place. If you are going to keep the foredeck vent where it is, cut a square of doorskin and prop it up inside with wax paper to cover the hole. Then just recore and cut the foam out when you are done.

Yup,

It's recoring it happened just to forward and to the port of the cabin bulkhead. On the foredeck. Ill be using West's epoxy to fix it.

Thanks
