    Spring is here(ish)

Hell of a sail on the Chesapeake Bay yesterday, steady west wind at 12-15 all day long, 72 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. This morning snow. Take'em when you get em...... I had the entire bay to myself as far as I could see. The tohatsu fired up on 2 pulls after sitting around for 4 months.

    Spring in California too!

In fact it's a bloody riot! Everything has popped after a winter of "atmospheric streams" of
endless cold rain storms here in wine country. The vines are loving it!

We're seemingly drying out now, but some people are still paying in a city not far from here:
they're not getting FEMA help in one low income Vietnamese and Latino 400 family community
-- still completely devastated -- but it is because
not a large enough number of houses and trailer-park families suffered in the flood,
FEMA says they can't manage to help them.

"The care and happiness of human life, and not their destruction,
is the first and only object of good government."

    Thomas Jefferson

Have a bro in Millsboro, who gave up his O'day daysailor for a launch. So, after reading your
post, I called to ask why he hadn't gone out on the Bay on such an incredible day
    ...since you hadn't seen him!

Wasn't home, maybe out there today, and it's snowing!

Hey Ebb, I have been meaning to ask you, do you have an Ariel, you are a huge and helpful contributor here but I never see any on the water exploits?

Red face life caught up with us

But we, A338 littlegull and me are really on our way to Splash!.

Seen and met old guys like me who planned to leave harbor for the
South Pacific, but now would happily settle for a cruise to Hawaii or
    CaboSanLucas.

Their good little dog companions get white chops and their boats grow
beards down to the marina ooze. Few have cut their warps. 1 or 2.

It's not a dream, it's imperative for us. No house, no woman, no calling,
no dog... littlegull and her skipper have no choice.
