    1st sail of 2003 for #105

    Robert Lemasters and I took Sparky for a nice sail today in spite of the very visual presence of of the Homeland Security force . I counted no less than 16 heavy machine guns in a 4 mile stretch of the Elizabeth River which empties into Hampton Roads into Chesapeake Bay into the Atlantic .
    It was a very nice day with a decent breeze from the south . We went with the working jib , could have used the genoa but Robert is still learning to sail .
    Here are a few shots;

    There are 2 machine guns on the bow of the big ship and one mounted in the RIB in the water of the port bow .
