Free Ariel (#426) in Marshfield, MA
Hi All,
My baby is totaled thanks to incredible incompetence by a hauler and a mooring servicer. Sad days
. Basically the deck and the hull are separated on the port side. It's been sitting for a couple years since the incident so it also had a little bit of water on the inside. It's only purpose would be as a parts boat at this point. Just want to make sure no one wants it before I scrap it. You can see some pics of the boat and the work I did in my refurb thread:

If nothing else, someone should take it just for that rebuilt rudder - i seriously enbeefened that thing...

My coamings are close to being trashed after years of abuse by previous owner. They are so thin they can't take any more strain. I'd be glad to talk to you about them and a few other things. I'll send you a private message on the board here.

Never mind. I looked too quickly at your stern on photo and thought you had a Commander. I spoke too soon. Thanks,

If Joshua Slocum could do it.....
Anybody with energy and some cash could fix this ole babe.
PICTURES WILL HELP.
Let's see the damage.
Separation of hull and deck is no big deal for the right person.
The original construction of an Ariel was straight forward, un complicated,
half-fast at times.....but
Nothing some rachet strapping, bottle screws, and props...
And good epoxy can't put back together.
Ariel's are worth saving.
Especially one #426) this late in the model run (440).
