    FS: Commander #256 (Ceili)

Ceili is available. She is still in the project phase, but much has been done. See posts. She sits on a 2008 Triad trailer and I have all parts plus many new and custom designed features and hardware waiting for her. I also have two masts, the original and a 1980 off a Pearson 26 (same length).

$4,000 for all, where she sits on our property here in Camden, NC (1 hour South of Norfolk, VA).

    Thanks,

I was really hoping since you recently posted about the progress on the new rudder for Ceili that perhaps you had found a way to keep her so you were going back to work on her. I'm disapointed to see that is not the case.

    Jerry,
I too am disappointed, frustrated, tired and depleted. I will be picking up the machined and welded rudder assembly this coming week. Part of me wants to continue working on her, part of me is just looking at the reality of: too long, too much and for what? I'm the only one in the family, less perhaps my son, who is interested in sailing. I ask myself, okay what happens when she is ready to launch? It comes down to a selfish side of me who wants to keep her and enjoy her, but I don't want to leave my family behind in this venture. I just don't have the resources to complete her in a timely manner, and It's as though I have drawn this out for way too long. Don't get me wrong, I love our beloved vessels, and in particular "Ceili", as I have, in some strange way, bonded with her through all the time, sweat, money, and energy I have bestowed on her during my stewardship. I hope to see her in her finished glory someday, but don't see that I can make that happen. I'll continue to care for her until she is in the hands of her next steward, who is willing and able to complete her and enjoy her extended sailing returns.
    Respectfully,
