Took this shot after the bottom was clean , close reach , full main , working jib & dragging the motor in the well .
That is MPH not knots ! And it actually hit 7.8 a few times , I'm impressed & I know the Garmin is right ( tested it against a police radar gun ).
No wonder they are winning races in Maine !
If a nautical mile is 1.15 statute miles, what does that work out to?
Mighty fast. Certainly more than the "theoretical" hull speed.
All I know is, I can chase down and pass many larger boats all day long. Just need some decent wind. What joy.
Sure makes me glad I invested all that money in purchasing this hi-tech racing machine.
