    wanted...spreaders for ariel

    The mast and boom on 215 are intact but missing spreaders. Any available?

    Frank - If you cannot find any available they'd be very easy to fabricate...

    They are just plain aluminum pipe. (Sorry I cannot provide the dimensions!) The hardest thing would be the tip, but you can easily 'improvise' for that...

    I can see pressing the end of the pipe not-quite flat and grinding a groove for the wire, a hole for the retainer bolt at the bracket, a couple of small holes for the seizing wire... this would work just as well.

    It maybe even cheaper to get a small piece of scrap 'Al' round stock to match the pipe and grind your very own genuine imitation spreader tip from scratch... It would not take long at all...

    spreaders?

    Frank, haven't seen them around for awhile.
    but I may have the originals here someplace.
    I think the aluminum castings were of a piece, too.
    But they were smeared with some black s....
    They're yours.
