JUNE 29, 2013, is the date when the Hoppe Memorial Regatta for Ariel and Commander skippers will take place on San Francisco Bay. This annual race is always filled with fun, excitement and suspense for the competitors. -- Did you pick the preferred direction around Angel Island? Where did that "wind hole" come from? Don't see anyone else, so am I leading or way behind? Current? What current?

And remember, there's the "awards gathering" following the race at the Encinal Yacht Club where you can share Stories and Excuses, Good food and Comradery.
