Arthur Aftermath Repairs - I need a Bow Puplit and some stanchions
Hello everyone,
Hurricane Arthur did not treat my old gal well. A 40 ton mooring neighbor broke free during the storm (from morally questionable circumstances) and snowballed A242 and 3 other boats downwind. She caught the tangle of boats on the bow pulpit, dragged her attached mooring tackle about 300 yds, and was released once the pulpit gave way, shearing in half and ripping a few stanchions off the deck.
So now I need to find a bow puplit and a couple stanchions, preferably from a salvage yard or derelict boat to save some money for the deck work. Do any of you have any advice to what models of boats I should look for to find similar hardware? I'm guessing most older sailboats in this size had about the same bow angle, but don't want to order something sight unseen that won't fit. Any advice for this repair is appreciated.

I have stanchions! How many you need? If Arthur had taken out your pushpit, I could have hooked you up with that too.

Hi Kyle, awesome! I think my pulpit got converted to a pushpit before its grand finale.
I believe just two stanchions got taken out, but let me inspect the rest to see if I have any damage to others next time I row out there and get back to you. The painter caught the mess after it was ripped out, which wrapped it up and pulled the boat down by the lifeline. This in turn gave some nasty grooves to the jib track (thankfully no hull damage), so I'm looking for a replacement track on the port side as well.
