    Fore stay length.

In the Pearson literature, the forstay is listed as being 31' 4.75". Does this refer to the cable length only? In preparation for installing Harken furling, I just measured my forestay. From truck clevis to the bottom clevis of my turnbuckle, I got 32' 2.5" . Any input before I cut the new cable to length would be greatly appreciated.

    Measure & Then Cut

The Pearson literature gives "design" dimensions, but most riggers will tell you to "drop a tape" to get the "real" shroud and stay lengths.

All stay measurements should be made from the center of the clevis pin at the mast hound to the center of the clevis pin at the chain plate or stem fitting.
