In my digging around inside Ave Maria, i thought i might come up with a winch handle for the winch on the mast. Southcoast/marriman? You know, the handle that goes through the slots? No luck so far. Anyone know of any leads for one? Are they like gold too?

There is a school teacher in Alameda who's hobby is collecting and selling used sailboat gear. He usually has several handles for the old winches. My guess is that for a South Coast #1, the price will run $25 to . . .? The number 2 handles are in the $50 + range, as I recall. Next marine flea market is in September. I can look then, if you are still without one.
