Has anyone used 3M 4200 to seal their chainplates?

My chainplates are leaking badly. Everyone at my marina loves 3M 4200 to seal under the chainplates and get rid of leaks.

Does anyone at the forum have positive or negative experience using this 3M product?

A not so timely reply: I have used it, tho' not on chainplates, and can attest that it performs as advertised. Can't think of a reason not to do so; it should work fine for that.
