The Ariel/Commander PHRF is very generous and usually gets lowered as more local results are recorded. We have had local racers accuse Ariel skippers of cheating, because they corrected out first in various "beer can" regattas. A well sailed Ariel or Commander can sail through an entire Triton fleet (non-spinnaker) that has started five minutes earlier. Just another example of how great are these little Alberg yachts.
