Thumbs up Commander / Ariel Video Gallery

A short video I shot on my way down to Berkeley from Vallejo... (about a 30 mile sail).

    I love this boat!

I was singlehandling and since I was using a still camera (digital) I was using the viewfinder... you can see that I loose a lot of speed as I fall-off. -I guess I was focused on the video composition - and not on holding my course!

The video is short, but sweet... (I think so! - since I had a great sail...)

This one is pretty good. Good ideal for a thread Rico. I'll have to try my hand at it soon.

One of the thumbnails at the end of the above video
is Houdini introducing a couple of uncomfortable Norwegian kids to Ariel sailing on Galveston Bay.

Sailing this evening on the Sound. Kind of a feeble attempt at filmmaking.

I uploaded that video a few years ago of A-24. I think that it was taken on the way home from York Maine. Good memories...

Did you notice the hand rails added to the fore deck after the bow pulpit was removed?

Here's my contribution: Beautiful sail on Lake Michigan today - crystal blue skies, 60*, 15 kts of wind, 3-4 footers. But for poor Sadie puking, it was a dream.
Here is high-tailing it for smooth water after she reported feeling queasy, and subsequently puked in the porta-pottie. Unfortunately, the dramamine did its work about 15 minutes late. She rebounded after a brief party-nap and was good as new as soon as we hit flat seas inside the breakwater.
Afterwards S: "Hey Dad, thanks for the sail!" KW: "Seriously??" The girl is a real trooper.

Found this on YouTube. Nice quality video. I sailed these waters when I was a kid!
