    Epoxy, wood and fiberglass

Anyone have a recommendations on some epoxy to fasten some wood to firberglass below deck. eg: wood to hull to make a shelf or mounting place.

Also what is recommend for above deck repairs to fill in cracks, chips etc.

Something simple but good that can be purchased in small amounts, like a tube or 1/2 pint.

Oh, one last thing. Is the mast on an Ariel open on the top?

    Thnx

    Capt. French,

The loss of #268 must have tilted your azimuth - she was and is a beauty, but that new raft thingy - yikes, even in lurk mode it will be a challenge.

So what is your next ride? Seriously........

    Yeah Dan

    :-)

I visited 268 yesterday, she is now docked a few slips down from me. Has gotten the woman's touch and brightwork all cleaned. She looks good.

I picked up a Islander 29. Sturdy sailor, Like an Ariel, but more roomy.

French, you could get one of these little kits

    http://www.boatbuildercentral.com/pr...php?prod=E_try

I bought one, mostly for the coupon

The mast is closed on the top by a casting, but water gets in through the slot for the sheave

    P.S.: nice boat

French, you might try West Systems epoxy. I'm not sure which one would suit you best as I've only just begun to use them myself for 'water-proofing' and adhesion.

Check with your local boat supply shop or go to http://www.westsystem.com/
    ERyc sends.
