Asking $2000 for my 1966 Pearson Ariel #382 ESCORT. Rudder post cracked but otherwise boat is in good condition. It will, however, need repair work to the rudder post before it is sail ready. Excellent boat for SF bay with active Bay Area fleet. Sails include main, jib, Genoa and spinnaker. Accessories include loran, depth sounder and a 6 hp Evenrude outboard.

ESCORT is currently slipped at Pete's Harbor in Redwood City (southern San Francisco Bay). I have owned this boat for over 15 years, but I am now looking to purchase a smaller trailerable boat.

Please contact Ray Dawley at 650-368-2196 or dawlray@yahoo.com

I noticed this Ariel is on Ebay now;

Apparently Ray donated it to a charity, 'Boat Angel' who has it up for auction.

I like the split back stay

Just checked out the auction and it's already up to a whoping $330!!! If we lived in CA I'd be saying,"Honey, we just bought another boat!" I hope someone buys her and keeps her afloat.

I emailed the seller, and let them know about the association so they could add that to the add or let prospective buyers know.

Hopefully she will go to a good home.

I bought this Ariel! :)
I'm planning on getting her in shape this spring. I live way up in Alaska, but I plan on keeping her in SF. I'm coming down in a week or two to check out what I've got myself into.:confused: Any of you Ariel gurus in the Bay area interested in doing some consultation for a six pack or two? :rolleyes:
I was impressed with this association. The loyalty and devotion of the owners and wealth of info was a big reason I went for this boat, and of course I love the Alberg lines! I will definitely join and pick up the manual. I'm sure that will help with the rudder work it looks like it needs.
Well, I'm sure you will be hearing more from me, I will keep you posted.
Thanks
Tim Kirk
