Hello Everyone,
My name is Fritz Baier and I live at the Jersey Shore. I currently own a 24' C&C and prior to that, a 28' Sabre. I am now interested in replacing the C&C with a Pearson Commander.
I just wanted to reach out to the members of this forum and ask that you please inform me of any Commanders that you might hear about that are for sale. I see the one in New Orleans but it's out of my price range especially once I add shipping to NJ.
This website/forum looks very professional and informative. I'm looking forward to getting more involved once I have a Commander in my posession to show-off and talk about.
Thanks so much in advance for any Commander sightings that you send my way.
Best Regards,
Fritz

I don't have a Commander to offer, but you are hereby making your good taste evident. Good luck Fritz.

Hi Kyle,
Thanks for the reply. I just checked out your slide show and "Lucky Dawg" is very pretty. Looking forward to owning a Commander in the hopeful near future. It looks like I just missed a couple that recently sold. I skimmed through all the posts about Chance's boat and all the work he has put into her. That was a great deal for the new owner.
Enjoy you're weekend.

I remember seeing a Commander on the hard at the Hammond Cove Marina at the Throgs Neck in the Bronx. It was missing it's rudder but looked otherwise not too bad. Fritz, I'd give the Marina a call.

Thanks so much Ben. I looked up the marina and will call them tomorrow morning. I will let you know how I make out.

Fritz,
This may be a bit too far for you, but C-187 (A Commander formerly known as "Assigned Risk") is available and ready for a new owner...
You can see some of her details here:
http://www.pearsonariel.org/discussion/showthread.php?2072-Commander-187-Assigned-Risk
I've slowed down the schedule since there have been few people willing to adopt a boat in recent times, but she could be finished quickly for a new owner...
Feel free to contact me offline. (e-mail in profile, or PM.)
Found this one in Eastern Connecticut Craig's list: http://newlondon.craigslist.org/boa/2878980885.html
I'd think hard about getting Rico's Commander - he's done all the hard stuff, and done it right...
North East Sailboat Rescue is having a Spring auction. He's an Alberg nut and usually has a Commander or Ariel or two:

Thanks for the info Mike. I do agree with you on Rico's Commander. I just don't know if I can afford the boat combined with the freight to NJ. However, if can sell my C&C quickly, that might make the difference. I'll check out the leads you sent me.
Thanks Again,
Fritz

There are a couple kicking around New England. E-mail Michael at NE sailboat rescue and ask if he has a Commander. I know he has two Ariels. Just be aware that the asking price is more of a suggested price meaning the responsibility is on you to make sure you know what you're getting. He's a good guy though and has a lot of great deals for those who know what to look for.

That would be a fun trip but I'm way too busy at work to make that trip. But thanks for the suggestion!
