SOFT DECK
Soft - Simple - Durable - Great Looking - Shock Mitigating
Peel and Stick - Non Skid Decking Solution
Our non skid is easy to use, and provides great traction even when wet. Our
soft, barefoot friendly material installs over existing nonskid in minutes,
and won't tear up your knees or elbows. With deck pad sizes from 3" x 9" to
18" x 60" we probably have just the size to fit your needs. Sheet goods and
custom installation is available. Proudly distributed through Sailing
Supply and San Diego Marine Exchange. Come see our display at Sailing
Supply's San Diego location! http://www.Soft-Deck.com
No experience with the product, but that's an unfortunate name - "soft deck" does not have very good connotations with our older cored deck boats.

Mike, That's exactly what I thought.... what's Bill doing soliciting advice about a deck repair LOL!!
The HydroTurf material is closed cell EVA foam.
The Softdeck comes from the same factory. Doesn't mean that it is the same material. The website doesn't say what it is!
Not a bad outdoor synthetic rubber. Don't believe the stuff out-gasses or smells.
Find HydroTurf on your personal watercraft (jetski) sites.
The colors are dark and absolutely awful. The prices however are one half to two thirds cheaper.
Nowhere did I find what thickness the sheet is.
I remember someone once complaining about applied non-skid ScotchTred (?) on their deck as something they always tripped on.
Somewhere on the site they mention a very thick (1/4"?) industrial fishboat version that would work on the mast beam where I hit my head all the time.
Choice is very limited. Only one texture pattern and
light grey imco the one color of three that might work on an A/C deck without turning the deck into a hotplate.
Don't know that their pre-cut round corner mats is what I would want on the deck. What about the bare spots?
Couldn't find what they sell a decent sized sheet for. $$$$
Hydro Turf has a patternless sheet (but the same ghastly colors) that would be easier and cheaper to cut because you wouldn't have to mind the diamond pattern for that professional looking all deck install.
Have the same questions we ask of any material that will live totally exposed to the elements.
Expected life in the sun. How does the color weather. How do the edges of the material hold up.
The peel-n-stickum you pound the rug on with a mallet is 3M.....so that's good. What do we have to do to prep the deck?
Alternative brand names:
How about DexToupee or FlexMat or SureDek or Z.EVA ! ! !
