1966 Pearson Commander, 26' Sloop Rigged Sailboat For Sale, Asking $6,250.00 O.B.O

This is a full keel Carl Alberg designed good sailing boat. If you are looking for a solid, safe, well maintained and sound vessel from a strong pedigree, consider this boat.
I would check out these sites for information on specs and Carl Albergs design of the boat, there are also some pics of the standard interior layout that might be helpful to see:

Here are some more details about the boat and its equipment:

• - 6 hp nissan 4 stroke outboard. sits hidden in an outboard well, powers the boat great and is light enough that I can lift it out of the boat by myself for maintenance. I just changed fluids and zincs, but it could use a tune up. It is very clean and in great working order.

• The main sail and one larger head sail are in good condition; however the smaller head sail is in tired shape but is also reefable. The main sail has one reefing point. All lines for sail control are lead to the cockpit.

• There are two danforth anchors one slightly smaller than the other. There is somewhere around 40 feet of chain (a bit excessive but she sure doesn't move when on the hook) and a lot of rope.

• I replaced the original seacocks/through hulls with all bronze Groco ones.

• Replaced original head with new Jabsco head, and all new plumbing

• Has one house battery that powers a very basic electrical system. Includes all navigation lights and anchor light (all working), GPS, VHF Radio, shore power chord 30amp, with 20amp pig tail adapter

• Repainted the topsides, non-skid on deck, and mast/boom about 2 and a half years ago. The bottom was also done at this time. Additionally almost all deck hardware was removed and re-bedded at this time (stantions, bow/stern pulpits, cleats, pad-eyes, deck plates, chain plate covers) and received new G-10 backing plates

• There is no blistering of the hull and no soft spots on deck

• The wood is overall in decent shape, the bright work needs some attention, but the wood is good. Also there is a pair of varnished teak hand rails that just need to be installed

• New 4 inch foam in the V-berth, and mattresses for both quarter berths.

• Additional Equipment: Brand new full set of flares and marine grade fire extinguisher, 2 Manual bilge pumps one gusher style, new cockpit drain hoses, inflatable dinghy, life jackets, lines, paddles, , grill on stern (it is a bit fickle, but still cooks a mean hot dog), whisker pole, cheapo battery charger, and other odds and ends

This boat does not have a galley. I was in the process of beginning to set her up for that, but never got to complete the project. The forward hatch cover is weak and should be replaced, but is functional as is. It was on my list to do, but i never got to it. Additionally the starboard cockpit seat locker has a minor leak from the hinges and should be properly fixed. She was designed as a day sailor, and does that extremely well. With her 9 foot cockpit you can fit 6 adults comfortably and no ones beer will get spilled by their neighbors' elbows. She sails beautifully and is incredibly stable and solid. I hate to let her go, but a recent relocation forces me to sell her.
