Being the damned deconstructionist I am and fascinated with the efficient shortcuts Pearson got away with getting their product to market, here's another observation on that main bulkhead that got me into this thing. I'm not an engineer or a businessman so if I put myself in their shoes I'd never understand perfectly what they did and why. I wear size 14 sandles exclusively. Maybe Alberg had Sven-sized feet but certainly not those efficient Pearson cousins.

Remember awhile back someone posted wanting to renew the piping that outlines the main bulkhead and the cabin liner? Don't recall the upgrade but here is something to think about IMCO in the 'as built' Ariels like 338:

This main bulkhead is tabbed to the hull ONLY. Not under the deck, nor up the cabin sides. And up top by two #16 bronze screws that hold the maststep on that go thru the cabin roof into the beam, which is screwed to the bulkhead.

It's all piping inbetween. {that was a very fine tune, pipe us another one soon}:o
