Lucky Dawg

Don't get too excited. This is Lucky Dawg's old trailer. Pictured here (http://www.pearsonariel.org/discussion/showthread.php?1604-Commander-65-quot-Lucky-Dawg-quot&p=20486#post20486) and here (http://www.pearsonariel.org/discussion/showthread.php?1604-Commander-65-quot-Lucky-Dawg-quot&p=20528#post20528) and here (http://www.pearsonariel.org/discussion/showthread.php?1552-Commander-155-Mephisto-Cat&p=17105#post17105). I can provide more pictures and details if needed. Located in Grand Haven, MI.
Bare iron, no brakes, no pads (I scavenged them for my new trailer. New pads are about $80 each, or I found used ones at a local marina for $30 each) The lights work fine. The welded uprights are - obviously - well placed to hold either species of our boats. There is an I-beam keel rest that runs down the centerline. Tires are in good condition and I have two additional spares/rims. I presume the axles and hubs are good as well as they don't make any noise when it rolls - but that is the extent of my assessment. The hitch receptical is solid and takes a 2 5/8" ball. Besides being really ugly, it also carries the bottom of your keel at about hip level, so it makes for a tall and probably top-heavy rig.
At a minimum, it is a perfectly useful yard trailer. It is very stable in that capacity and I have done plenty of work on the boat while on the trailer that I might have been more nervous to do on jack-stands. (That may just be psychological) Additionally, I hauled it (with LD aboard) from Green Bay to Manitwoc WI (shipped across the lake) and from Ludington to Muskegon - so maybe 120 miles total. And I have used it to haul to storage at probably 50 miles a year. So it does go down the highway fine. But again, no brakes and therefore probably not legal in some states given a 6000lb load.
I thought that before trying my luck on CraigsList, I'd see if anyone here wants it and thus keep it in the family. I think at ~20 cents a pound, it would bring around $300 hundred in scrap - just because it is monstrous and heavily constructed, and whereas some CraigsList-someone might be desirous of an alternate use for a heavy duty utility trailer fashioned from an old mobile home trailer, maybe that would be worth a couple hundred more. The market can dictate that I guess.
Let me know if you have questions and PM me if you'd like to make an offer on this lovely piece of metalwork.
