www.milldirecttextiles.com [ Key words "Cut Yardage Clearance Special"]
Are having a REAL sale on some of their stock. Some UNreal prices.
PolarTec is the real made-in-the-USA fleece used to make blankets and cases for lit'lgull.
It is imco the only bedding fabric to use on a boat.
Doesn't hold moisture, warm when wet, dries instantly. Keeps its shape
- you can cut blankets or throws without stitching the edges. Bright colors and selection of weights.
Wonderful soft and smooth feel.
Easy machine wash without pilling. But I'd ask them anyway.
They are limiting sales to fifteen yards per buyer - but that's about four blankets.
For those of you who don't know the range of this stuff, look on their website.
100 series Polartec might be good for bag liners. Never cold and clammy like cotton blends.
200 series is what I used. When it's cold add another blankie. Some of it is going for $2.99 a yard!
300 series is pretty arctic. Maybe I'll get 3 yards.
And they're also selling some Windpro, Windbloc, PowerDry which are mostly used for clothing.
These prices don't happen very often.
Might even make some fender bags out of this stuff
- MUCH softer than sunbrella. on your newly painted topsides!
Might be useful in the cockpit, softer on your backsides.
Twin bed fleece blanket from LLBean $59.
