Here's a different solution to the ol' trailer question:

Wouldn't you like to see him backing that rig down a ramp? :p Did you notice he has the boat pointed to the back so he don't have to back off the trailer...er ... bus... or whatever that thing is. ;)

Lewis and Clark struggled with moving their boats and supplies over land. That sucker woud have served them well.

You might be able to buy an old junker school bus for cheaper than a trailer - or for cheaper than contracting with an overland carrier. He might not be as crazy as he looks...

Doesn't that sailboat look like a (McClasson) Columbia 24 or Islander 24 of the same vintage as the A/C? Probably has an OB motor well in a lazarette.
If so the displacement would be around 4000# - or more with gear.
Owner has good taste in boats!

Getting that off the lofty bed of the bus seems a bit challenging. I don't think it could be done with a winch off the back of the bus, certainly couldn't ramp launch! Unless the bus floats too!

Bus looks somewhat over weighted over that single axle! Could use some added coil springs anyway to level up the ride..:)

And with a hatch in the roof of the bus, it would be easy access to get in the boat! Ken.
