SOLD-Check is on the way. $5 for the boat...$890 for the exotic critters:eek:
It looks like a great candidate for a resto/upgrade! Congratulations!
Here's looking forward to the new phase for Hull #?...

It is not in the registry, but we'll sure add it.
Please E-mail or PM your contact information to complete the entry. Seems we deleted it when you sold #50. :o

Frank:
Great news for you and the boat!
Are you going to have the boat moved up to Pembroke or work on it remotely a la Revival?
Andrew
Truly amazing, Frank.
OFF THE SCALE.
Yer on my hero list for all time.
It will be INSPIRATIONAL if you record all that you do from beginning to end to get this baby sailing again!
Maybe a book?
Small Boat Advisor series?
These first generation plastic boats all need restoration at this time in their history. New generation of younger buyers would be blessed with a updated handbook to guide them.
Anyway, just an idea...
I really think you're nutz!

I probably am nuts. Some guys restore cars. Some guys play poker. I'm boat nuts. Once Judy decided on a retirment plan and her wishs of seeing the San Blas islands...the ole Electra just didn't fit. As her plan is a couple of years from now it will give lots of time to do this. I couldn't think of a boat I'd rather be on 'out there'. Sweet sailing, capable and fairly shallow draft. The fact one can be had cheap enuf to gut is great. I'll take pics. It will be an open interior (thanks Ebb and Kurt), aft head/shower(thanks flicka) and very basic otherwise. She is wanting refrig tho...and engel may need to be fit in to keep the admiral happy. But heh...if it gets her out there, I'll gladly do it. Oh ya...it will be trucked home here.No more long distance love affairs.

Can't wait for the new Durant photo gallery thread!
:D
Hey Frank, you know what I'd like to see - and maybe others too....?
How to rewire FROM SCRATCH
a small cruising boat with 100% LED. Yeah!
Plus the nav stuff, of course.
I have never found a true compos mentis on this subject.
(Just found a good basic beginning in Outback Marine's "Energy systems for cruising vessels." Goes way beyond what we want or need. But imco it is a great intro to the subject for idiots like me.)

Man have you got the wrong guy.I have a hard time setting up the stereo :) My idea of wiring is call my work buddy who's an electrician and ask if he needs a set of steps built in exchange for wiring my boat. I do keep wiring extremely basic. I've used the 3fuse-ciger lighter-voltmeter panel. Only use a autohelm,VHF and lights. The cigar lighter will do the fridge.Guess I'll have to get a bit fancier this time with a connection for solar panel input. Maybe I'll film my buddy...beer in hand ;)
