I have been told that with me, everything is an opportunity to reflect, and that everything is a metaphor.
I know that I am thankful for this group of folks, and for the help they provided while getting my little ship ready for our trip last year. While it was (hopefully) not the last of it's type it was 8 months that served to make my life immeasurable richer and fuller.
I am thankful to Carl Alberg, and his steadfast stubbornness in drawing the boat that he knew wold sail well, and get her crew home. I do believe that he has done us all a great service, and I am grateful for it.
I am thankful that Faith was largely preserved by her prior owners, and that I was able to do the things that were necessary to make her ready for the trip.
I am thankful to Faith, Hull #226. She did all that was asked of her. I put her into larger seas then prudence might have recommended. She served me and my crew well, with no problems and never let us down.
I am thankful to God, for the Faith He has given to go and see what is beyond the horizon.
May the time be short until we are all able to get 'out there' and enjoy that wonderful unique privilege that it is to be aboard an Ariel / Commander underway.
Blessings to all for this thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New year.
Well met, well said, Craig.
I hope that there are voyages with our Ariels and Commanders for every one of us tomorrow.
It would be great to find you again in the Gallery with another adventure series next year!
Keep the Faith.
Cheers
SKOL!!!
