Meet Brigid. This photo was taken at Orcas Landing, Orcas Island, Washington state.
This was near the end of a 38 mile day to and through Deception Pass and the San Juan Islands.
Brigid has Navik self-steering, mast steps, a wood stove, two sizes of dodger -- all of which came with the boat.
The first thing I was going to do when I bought her was remove the mast steps, but I thought I'd live with them for a year. I'm still living with them mostly because they'd be a pain to remove and several times they've come in handy.
I would never have spent the money for the vane steering system, but it works, it's great for single handing on long stretches.
Now...to see if I can manage to make the attachment work.
This one's for you Steve...now, how about some pictures from the rest of you out there!! ; )
