Thanks gill,
Being myself a truebeliever in taking all easy precautions
available protecting only pair of lungs from DUST.
next time at Home Despot will look for the Duckbills.

We bearded throwbacks have a problem with paper masks
because they can't really seal around the face. So it is
very interesting that the Duckbill LOOKS like it seals very well
along the top of the mask on bare face. Impressed.

I've always hoped that beards give some filtering protection.
Since we know water gets in everywhere, these videos show
pretty dramatically that the Duckbill mask excludes wet stuff
along the area that most dust intrusion would occur.

I use 3M's 8511 which has a oneway exhaust valve in the center,
and I do on certain days fog my glasses - which shows that the
smaller faceprint of the mask is NOT doing its job very well.

I'm gonna go ASAP to H.D. get me some to try out. The test
for me will be if the mask allows free breathing when the face
is sealed up inside while working and needing extra air.
