Go sailing on the SF Bay tomorrow in a classic, full keel Pearson Ariel. Great first Bay sailboat, stable, forgiving, sails great; able to handle windy days on the Bay, but sails really well in light wind too. Classic Alberg design in fiberglass; built in 1965, before the days of thin fiberglass. Purchased for $3000 in 2004, plus over $1500 invested. Willing to sell at a low price so that someone can enjoy this boat; I have bought a bigger sailboat. Has newer jib, serviceable mainsail and genoa. Spinnaker and spinnaker pole available; would need some rigging. Basic small interior with four berths and 5'10" headroom. Has sink, water tank, porta potty, needs stove, needs new cushions, no icebox. No radio or bilge pump. Has battery charger, wiring needs some work. Exterior and interior need cosmetic work. One cabin window is cracked. Upgrades in 2004-05: roller furling jib, new head stay, new back stay, new lazy jacks, new turnbuckles, new seacocks, replaced most running rigging. Last hauled out and surveyed in 2004; appraised at $3000. All lines aft for single handing. Older outboard, runs well. Sailable now, plenty of projects to work on to reach its full potential.

Motivated owner; have bought new larger boat, must sell - make an offer!
