I like the idea of an enclosed head against the bulkhead rather than on either side of the companionway as one enters the cabin. Having it forward gives you the option to keep both berths rather than sacraficing one to the Head Gods. I can also picture a nice fold down table that triples for charts, extra galley space, and dining. I posted some links of pictures from an ad on Yachtworld of a CD-27 interior with the type of table that I alluded too. This configuration mixed with an enclosed head/hanging locker would bring a lot of versatility to these small boats. Ideas are flowing, I just wish cash and time would keep up!

You can put me in this camp as well. I'll be cruising with a family of four and need the sleeping quarters.

Let's not leave out the usage as a cockpit table as well! Also, having it attached to the bulkhead takes up one valuable surface for stowage. My favorite table set up so far is the Albin Vega 27, which stows up on the v-berth ceiling, has a mount inside the cabin between the setees, and one out in the cockpit so you can use it as a cockpit table as well. Unfortunately, this link to the thread (http://www.pearsonariel.org/discussion/showthread.php?t=1291&highlight=albin) no longer has the pictures up. (Dang, I knew I should have saved those off somewhere!)

aside from the width, it looks real small... athwart ships. do you think it's possible to sit in there with the door closed?

Looks like you may have to duck under the side deck to sit too. I wonder if you'd want the door closed?!?!:rolleyes:

There's certainly no opening port in there. I wonder if the forward most bulkhead cuts into the dead light and how the owner managed that?

I've come to the conclusion that the door on this head is just to close off the unit from view. Certainly one must leave the door open to actually use the head. Unless.... Oompaloompa or maybe munchkins.

Have to keep a jar of grease at the doorway to that WC just to slide in!
