So this is a dust mask? What's with the wet spray paint?
I use 3M8511 Dust Mask successfully even with my hairy face. BUT

if I was going to advise someone as to what face mask SHOULD be used around a boat for general dry sanding and grinding, it would be an

Organic Vapor 1/2face Respirator - the kind with the dual cannisters that you can tailor the filters to the job. New styles have a soft rubber face cup.
I find them cumbersome to use crawling around inside the boat. So I'm betting the farm depending on a lesser paper product.

In the boat yard I see dozens of macho jerks with inadequate mask protection (or none at all!!) staining their faces and their lungs red or white or blue with bottom paint and topsides dust.

If I see the duckbill filter I may give it a try.
Which is all you wanted anyway, right?

Befor anybody buys this Duckbill make sure you know what it is rated for.
Other than fingerpaint, that is.
