I wrote the seller and asked the hull number (and mentioned the association).

The boat appears to be a Katrina vicitm, but the price may well be right for someone so inclined.

"Inventory # 6256 Location: Ft Lauderdale, FL General Description: This 1965 26' Pearson Ariel Sloop was damaged in Hurricane Katrina. Over 400 Ariels with the same hull were built by Pearson Yachts from 1962 to 1969. They were designed by Carl Alberg who was known for classic full keel solid racing/cruising yachts with similar lines as the 19' Typhoon to the Alberg 37'. The Ariel was considered the smaller sister to the world famous 28' Triton which was perhaps the first successful production run of a family cruiser done in fiberglass. This vessel was submerged but there is no apparent exterior damage caused from the hurricane. Some minor scratches and gouges over the length of the hull and some marine growth. The mast, boom, sails and rigging appear serviceable. Bilge is full of water. There are five sails main, jib, Genoa, Drifter and Storm staysail, some in bags, not checked but appear fair. The fiberglass hull is in good condition but chalky. Bow rail is good but stern rail is poor. Windshield is gone and remaining windows are in fair condition. There is no upholstery. The gauges and controls are in poor contiditon. There are two staterooms and 1 head under the V-berth. The headliner is molded fiberglass. There are no electronics. There is a hand pump sink in cabin. There is some chain on the anchor, length unknown. There is one outboard, year unknown, 8hp, Honda 4 cycle, 2 cylinder, engine seized. Florida residents please apply 6% state sales tax. Storage charges will accrue after the 10 day grace period. Loading fees will apply.

Interesting take on backstay reinforcement there...

Read the ad, and realized something: I honestly hadn't noticed, but "Katie Marie" has been missing *her* windshield, too, this whole time. I just didn't know...
