Vessel Description:

This boat was donated last year to the Marine Education Foundation of CT, Inc. for use in our Groton Maritime Academy program. It is in overall very good condition for its age. The Hull and deck are solid as are the interior and the mast and rig. It has 3 sails - main, jib, & genoa. The cadets cleaned the boat up last season and launched it. It could use another general cleaning and TLC. We started the volvo diesel engine and it starts right up, but will need the water pump impellor replaced as it is not pumping water. The previous owner donated it to use last year after 10 years of love. It is a great little traditional cruiser for weekending or longer, as the main cabin has almost 6 feet of headroom.

We are an IRS 501c3 recognized non-profit organization that runs a program for local teens to introduce them to the marine environment and gain a better understanding or its ecology, history, and vocational opportunities. The boat may be able to stay in the marina, but winning bidder will be responsible for arranging winter storage.

If the builder's plate is gone, look at the number on the mainsail. That should be the same as the hull number.

The Pearson builder's plate is an oval with the "P" flag and the name "Pearson Yachts." There is also a small rectangle on the plate into which the hull number was stamped.

You can also use the search button to learn about others who have not found a hull number (search on "hull number").
