#66 is in need of some serious work, and with the recent turn of good weather, I decided to get started.
So, I decided to leave her open to the elements for a few days to let her dry out and air out inside before begining the demolition work.
Big mistake?
I checked on her at lunch and discovered half-a-dozen wasps flying in and around her. I had destroyed a couple of nests over the winter that were lodged in the thru-hulls, but found nothing inside during my inspection of her the other day.
In any case, I think I can close her up pretty tight to keep them out, but I fear that there may be some nests: either new or newly hatched. If so, there will be some pretty upset wasps trapped inside... I might try some sort of pesticide bomb, but I'd rather not have to go down that road.
Any suggestions?
